I think I might have forced my way into being friends with him, whether he wanted it or not.

[ there's the unspoken element of ash, too, and the shared history there that she hadn't been present for — resulting in an affection that greer herself had wanted to understand the significance of. she should've known that anyone ash considers beloved would be someone she couldn't help but be endeared to. ]
